NHS Fife resources and groups

The Fife Neurodevelopmental Questionnaire (F-NDQ) is a tool developed in NHS Fife by Dr Joshua Muggleton, Clinical Psychologist, in collaboration with multiple different health professionals, specialities, and with feedback from parents. It allows clinicians to capture in one place a detailed history about all aspects of your child’s development. This is important as many children with developmental differences have difficulties in more than one area, and may have other challenges which also need to be considered (such as physical or mental health). By capturing all this information in once place, it supports clinicians to think about your whole child, what supports might be helpful, and whether further in-depth assessment in any particular area is required.

The F-NDQ is used by a range of different services in NHS Fife and other health boards, usually when there are questions about a child’s development or uncertainty as to the underlying cause of a child’s difficulties. In Fife, it is also used in the neurodevelopmental pathway. You can listen to Joshua’s advice on how to complete the F-NDQ below.
